You want to be proud of your words. You wrote them for a purpose: to advance your ideas, to tell a story, to share knowledge. You believed in your project when it was just a vision in your own mind. But now it is text on a screen. Is it good enough to achieve your goal? And will your words, for as long as they are out in the world, bring you pride?

I am Alexander, and I will work with you to make sure that it is and they will.

I will hunt down mistakes that might disrupt a reader’s experience and embarrass you. I’ll look for errors of spelling and grammar that software may not catch. I can, if you like, go beyond cleaning your prose to helping you polish it: fighting wordiness, reducing repetitiveness, and suggesting more compelling phrasing.

And what I offer goes beyond the technical aspects of writing. If you’ve made an argument, I can draw on my legal and philosophical training to look for flaws in your logic. If you’ve written fiction, I can look for inconsistencies in the universe you’ve created.

In short, while no one can promise perfection, I can guide you closer to it.

Whatever I suggest, of course, it always remains up to you to make the final decisions. I am merely your adviser. In some cases, I may not even say what you should do, but simply raise questions. In all cases, my goal is to give you the chance to fix problems before anyone else sees them.

Tell me what you’ve written.
